July 2 to 17:
  • Shakespeare in the Park at Highland Park Bowl: The Shakespeare Players of Rochester, a program of the Rochester Community Players, will present Much Ado About Nothing, free Shakespeare at the Highland Park Bowl, 1200 South Avenue, July 2 to 17, 2010. This production is being directed by Jean Ryon and produced by Patrick Niles-White. This production is presented with the cooperation and support of the Monroe County Parks Department and with the support of the Law Firm of Boylan, Brown. All performances start at 8:00. July 17th:
  • Tree Tour of Highland Park – 1:00 PM. Meet outside of Conservatory. This is the last tour of the serie. Why not bring your family and enjoy learning about the Park with your neighbor and tour guide, Amy Priestley? This tour is especially suited for our younger (and Older) residents.
July 19th:
  • UMHN Monthly Meeting: St. Anne Church, 7 pm.
July 22nd:
  • Canal Path Clean Sweep. 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Please meet at the parking lot on Kendrick Road by the canal, near the Ronald McDonald House. Bring gloves, water, and tools (like snips), to trim the path. Wear bright colors so the cyclists can see you. Trash bags will be provided. Questions?   • South Presbyterian Church Ice-Cream Social. 2-4 pm (first scoop free, 50¢ additional scoops). More information (585) 271-5078, or spresbchurch@frontiernet.net
August 3:
•Annual UMHN National Night Out. Eastmoreland Park (playground), beginning at 6:30pm. Free ice cream and entertainment for all.
August 21:
  • Wedgestock 2010. South Avenue between Gregory Street and Averill Avenue, 10:00am - 9:00pm. Wedgestock 2010 is an annual festival and summer street party hosted by the South Wedge Planning Committee. Live music from 10:00am - 9:00pm including gospel, rock, blues, and DJ's too. Artists and food vendors along South Avenue. Wedgestock is a pet friendly festival, join in on the pet parade. Kids activities too! More info at www.wedgestock.org!
