| Neighborhood Softball League Forming |
Would you like to join a neighborhood softball league? My husband David and I have played in the Swillburg League for the past two years, and we have loved it! It’s a friendly league with all different skill levels. Since there has not been an UMHN team, we have been forced to play for Swillburg last year, and Highland this year. Though everyone is nice, we’d love to bring a team from our neighborhood next year. Games are played at Mary Daly Park (Gregory and Mt. Hope) or School 25 (Field St. near Monroe). The season runs from July to October, with games on Saturday mornings, and sometimes, one evening during the week. Anyone who is interested in joining a Mt. Hope Neighborhood team, can contact: Jennifer & David Cherelin, 473-0144, littlescrub@bluefrog.edu or jlr57@cornell.edu
Check out the Swillburg League’s website at www.SEFCsoftball.com Although this is from 2007, it gives good info and background about the league.

| Neighborhood Garage Sale June 6-8 |
Join in the fun as the UMHN Association once again sponsors an area-wide garage/yard sale.
This is the 5th year for this hugely successful event. As before, it will be held the first weekend in June, beginning on Friday, June 6 and continuing on Saturday, and Sunday. Participants are invited to plan their sale on this weekend, and hold it either 1, 2 or all 3 days – whatever your schedule allows.
We will compile a listing of participating (“paid for”) households, and make the list available for you to hand out to your shoppers. Last year we had 30 participating households! Classified ads will be placed and signs will be located at the ends of the streets on which there is a sale. You may also place your own signs.
Interested? Fill out the Garage-Sale Form, and drop it, along with $5.00 (check payable to UMHN), to help defray costs of advertising, to: Barb Sanko, 123 Raleigh (corner of Raleigh & Norfolk), or bring it to the Spring General Meeting on May 5. Deadline is May 28.

Adore Your City: |
Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport is starting a new bike tour in the City of Rochester!
It’s taking place on June 1st and it has a purpose. The goal of the ride is to raise funds, awareness and community involvement to directly benefit our city. The concept is simple - Help beautify our city and many positive changes will take place.
The funds raised and the rider volunteer time directly support Mayor Duffy’s “Clean Sweep” program – a program that is changing Rochester for the better!
Because we’re making custom jerseys for this event, the registration deadline is April 1st (yes, that's coming up soon)!

| Parking Update |
Petitions have been drafted to change parking times on Edgemont Road, Elmerston Road, and Eastmoreland Drive between Shelbourne and Westmoreland Drives. These petitions will be circulated to residents on those streets in the next few weeks. Proposed changes include limiting parking times on those streets, with no parking between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please let us know if you are interested in signing a petition, if you reside on the above mentioned streets, or would like to assist with petition circulation. If you live on another street and would like to start petitions for your street, please e-mail Jill Chesley: parking_issues@umhn.com
