Mark's Park:
Needs your help
|
|
If you love plants, enjoy gardening and have some extra time on Saturday mornings, please come and volunteer a little bit of you great skills to Mark's Park.
Mark's Park needs a lot of work. We need gentle hands, strong arms, landscaping skills or just a helping hand to pull out a weed or two while passing by.
So far, Cindy and Irma had been expending great time cleaning and planting some flowers. Our wish is to have an "all time visible, clean and safe" place to enjoy anytime of the year.
If you are interested to help, please contact Cindy and Irma at Gardeners@umhn.com

Help us to create the Children's Garden
Playground needs volunteers to plant flowers
Over the past weeks, Frank S. and Barb
S. were busy picking up compost (it's FREE at the Colfax St. Give-Away site), picking up flowers (also free to those who reserved them), filling large containers with the compost and planting the flowers, and then distributing them along Mt. Hope Ave. |
|
When you're out walking or driving, take note of these planters
and the beautiful color it adds along Mt. Hope. You can see the
planters at the end of Crittenden (on the "island" in the middle
of the street), at HSBC Bank, at Pal Joey's barber shop, and at
the end of Irvington Road.
Frank still has some flowers available to plant at sites in our neighborhood. If you're willing to take some flowers and plant them at the playground please contact Frank
at treasurer@umhn.com 244-7419 or Barb at secretary@umhn.com 244-1812.
