National Night Out 2008

A rainstorm forced us to cancel our National Night Out on the night it was originally scheduled, but we held it the next night and the weather was beautiful. Attendance was better than ever, and the ice cream was delicious! Senator Joe Robach made an appearance and shook lots of hands. The children were treated to face painting and some fun activities. They especially enjoyed the visiting fire trucks and fire fighters. It was really exciting when the fire trucks had to leave with their lights flashing and sirens blowing to answer an actual alarm. But they returned to visit with the kids some more. Thanks to everyone for coming out to show your support of this annual neighborhood event. A good time was had by all.
