National Night Out 2009
The predicted storm stayed away and it ended up being a beautiful summer night - a perfect stage for our annual National Night Out, held at Eastmoreland Park (playground). Neighbors, new and old, lots of kids, and plenty of dignitaries, along with fire fighters from the RFD and police officers from the RPD, and some costumed characters, all came together for an evening of conversation, entertainment, crafts and some delicious ice cream. Sponsored by UMHN, this evening continues to be one of the highlights of the summer in our wonderful neighborhood.
