Neighborhood Beautification
Projects
East end of Cimarron Drive
by Penny Illingworth
The residents of the east end of Cimarron Drive are fortunate to have Charles E. Roe as a neighbor. This fall he designed and planted a beautiful garden on the cul-de-sac around the light post for all to enjoy. Charles spends his days as head gardener on the grounds crew at Rustic Village Apartments in Brighton. He chose to plant daffodils, crocus, mums, day lilies, Montauk daisies and black-eyed Susans in his cul-de-sac garden. The neighbors look forward to next spring and summer when new flowers will blossom and flourish. A garden is to be shared, so next spring or summer, please take a walk to Cimarron Drive to view Charles' garden.
Thank you Charles!

Rochester Flower Program
Blooms in our Neighborhood
A big thank you to Frank Scarcelli and Karl Kabelac, both of Raleigh Street, for their effort to plant mum plants and spring bulbs in the planter by HSBC on Mt. Hope and at other sites throughout the neighborhood, including the playground and Mark’s Park.
We were given about 150 bulbs and 20 mums from the City of Rochester’s beautification giveaway. We’ve already got more planters lined up for the spring, to be used along Mt. Hope Avenue. If you would like to lend your green thumb in the spring, please contact Denise, President@umhn.com or watch the website for details.
