Grant Writer: Do you have experience writing grants? UMHN is looking for a person to apply for small grants from community-based organizations for relatively small amounts of money. If you are interested and/or would like more information, please contact Denise Lippa President@umhn.com

Cub Scouting…. It’s Not Just for Kids Help Wanted! Leader Needed for Cub Scouts in the South Wedge Area. Our youth need guidance. Pass along your talents to a child that needs someone to look up to. Requirements for the volunteer position: Adult, at least 21 years of age, with commitment and passion to help a child realize success. CUBMASTER: Coordinates monthly den leader meeting and emcees monthly pack meeting. Time involved: about 4 hours.Helps to recruit other adult leaders and works with new den leaders as necessary. Attend District monthly roundtable (Scouting community meeting). Time involved about 2 hours. Total monthly time about 6-10 hours. Additional time would include basic training. Kids’ Activities Committee Volunteer: Unfortunately, our February Snow Festival had to be cancelled due to lack of snow (we would have been in luck if we had called it a Rain Festival!) But now we need some volunteers to continue planning fun, year-round activities for our little ones. If you’d like to participate in a worthwhile cause, please consider joining the Kids’ Activities Committee. In our next newsletter, look for a complete listing of summer events, including craft times, stories in the park, a Fourth of July parade, and other special family-centered activities.
